Projects are the top-level container for your field work. A project holds one or more surveys, each survey holds photos, and reports are generated from surveys. When you share a project with a client, they see every survey and report inside it.
Data hierarchy
You → Organization → Projects → Surveys → PhotosWhat projects do
You can create unlimited projects on any plan. Start by creating a project with a clear name and a physical location from Google Places autocomplete. Project locations power the interactive map view and add address data to every report. As work progresses, use project status to mark each project as Active, Completed, or Archived so your list stays clean. When you have dozens or hundreds of projects, search and filter finds any project instantly. Cover images generate automatically from your first survey photo so projects are visually identifiable at a glance.
Best practices
- Use descriptive names. Include the address, job number, or client name. "123 Main St, Roof Inspection" is better than "Project 1."
- Set a location on every project. This powers the map view and adds location data to your reports.
- Archive completed work. Keep your active project list clean by archiving projects you no longer access daily.
