Generating Reports
Create a professional PDF photo log report from any survey in seconds.

Steps
1. Navigate to a survey
Open the project and select the survey you want to report on. The survey should have uploaded photos with captions.
2. Click "Generate Report"
Click the Generate Report button in the survey toolbar. This opens the report configuration dialog.
3. Choose your layout
Select a layout option:
- 1 photo per page. Larger images with more space for metadata. Best for detailed inspections.
- 2 photos per page. More compact. Best for overview documentation with many photos.

4. Enter a report name
Give your report a descriptive name. This name appears on the report and in your reports dashboard.
Examples:
- "Site Inspection Report - March 2026"
- "Roof Assessment - 123 Main St"
- "Phase 2 Progress Documentation"
5. Click Generate
Click Generate and Vortyk builds your report. This typically takes a few seconds, depending on the number of photos.
When the report is ready, download the PDF directly or find it later in your reports dashboard.
What's included
Every generated report includes:
- All photos in the survey (with markups if annotated)
- Photo captions
- GPS coordinates
- Capture date and time
- Camera bearing
- Page numbers
- Your company branding
Tips
- Add captions to your photos before generating the report. Captions provide context that makes the report useful to clients.
- Review the survey map before generating to confirm you've documented the full site.
- You can generate multiple reports from the same survey. For example, one with 1-photo layout for the client and one with 2-photo layout for your records.
