Editing a survey
To edit a survey's name or details:
- Navigate to the project containing the survey.
- Open the survey.
- Click the survey settings or edit option.
- Update the survey name.
- Save your changes.
Changes to the survey name take effect immediately. Previously generated reports keep the original survey name.
Viewing statistics
Each survey displays real-time statistics:
- Photo count. Total number of photos uploaded to the survey
- Report count. Total number of PDF reports generated from the survey
These numbers update automatically as you upload photos and generate reports. Use them to track progress and completeness.
Deleting a survey
Deleting a survey permanently removes all photos and reports within it. This action cannot be undone.
To delete a survey:
- Navigate to the project containing the survey.
- Open the survey.
- Click the delete option in survey settings.
- Confirm the deletion.
Before deleting, consider whether you might need the photos or reports later. If you are unsure, leave the survey in place. There is no cost to keeping surveys with photos you no longer actively use.
When to delete vs. keep
Delete when:
- You uploaded test photos or sample data
- The survey was created by mistake
- The photos are duplicates of another survey
Keep when:
- The work has been delivered to a client (they may request the documentation again)
- The project could be referenced in a future dispute or compliance review
- You are unsure whether you will need the data
