Creating Share Links

Steps

1. Open the project you want to share.
2. Click "Share" or "Create Share Link" in the project toolbar.
3. Set a password. Your client needs this to access the project. Choose something easy to communicate but not guessable.
4. Set an expiration date (optional). The link automatically stops working after this date. Good for time-sensitive projects or one-time inspections.
5. Add the client's name (optional). This helps you track which link belongs to which client when you have multiple share links.
6. Click "Create." Vortyk generates a unique URL.
7. Copy the link and send it to your client along with the password.

Tips

• Send the password separately. Don't put the link and password in the same email. Text the password or share it in a separate message for better security.
• Use descriptive client names. When you create multiple links for the same project, client names help you tell them apart.
• Set expiration dates on sensitive projects. If you're sharing inspection results that are time-sensitive, an expiration date ensures old links don't linger.
