Selection (V)
Select and move existing annotations. Click any shape, line, or text label to select it. Drag to reposition. Use this tool to adjust annotations after placing them.
When to use it: Repositioning or resizing annotations you've already drawn.
How to activate: Click the selection icon in the toolbar, or press V.
Line (L)
Draw straight lines on the photo. Click to set the start point, drag to the end point, and release.
When to use it: Indicating paths, boundaries, measurements, or directional flow. Useful for showing property lines, water flow direction, or cable runs.
How to activate: Click the line icon in the toolbar, or press L.
Arrow (A)
Draw arrows that point to specific areas. Click to set the tail, drag to set the head. The arrowhead appears at the end point.
When to use it: Directing attention to a specific detail. A crack, a defect, a label, or an area of concern. Arrows are the most common annotation in inspection reports.
How to activate: Click the arrow icon in the toolbar, or press A.
Rectangle (R)
Draw rectangles to highlight regions. Click to set one corner, drag to set the opposite corner.
When to use it: Highlighting a rectangular area. A window, a panel, a section of wall, or a zone that needs attention. Works well with the fill toggle for semi-transparent overlays.
How to activate: Click the rectangle icon in the toolbar, or press R.
Circle (O)
Draw circles and ellipses to circle areas of interest. Click to set the center, drag to set the radius.
When to use it: Circling defects, damage, equipment, or any area that needs attention. Circles draw the eye naturally and are effective for calling out small details in a larger photo.
How to activate: Click the circle icon in the toolbar, or press O.
Text (T)
Add text labels directly on the photo. Click to place the text cursor, then type your label.
When to use it: Adding descriptions, measurements, reference numbers, or notes directly on the photo. Combine with arrows or circles to create labeled callouts.
How to activate: Click the text icon in the toolbar, or press T.
Text supports customizable font size and alignment.
