Marker clustering
When photos are close together, individual pins group into numbered clusters. The number shows how many photos are in that cluster. Zoom in to break clusters apart and see individual pins.
Clustering keeps maps readable even when a project has hundreds of photos concentrated in a small area.
Map views
Toggle between two map styles:
- Roadmap. Standard street map with roads, labels, and boundaries. Best for urban sites and navigation.
- Satellite. Aerial imagery showing terrain, buildings, and ground conditions. Best for construction sites, rural areas, and environmental inspections.
Map themes
Maps adapt to your current theme. In dark mode, the map uses a dark color scheme that reduces eye strain and matches the rest of the interface.
Zoom and pan
- Scroll to zoom. Use your mouse wheel or trackpad to zoom in and out
- Drag to pan. Click and drag to move around the map
- Zoom controls. Use the on-screen plus and minus buttons for precise zoom levels
- Pinch to zoom. On touch devices, pinch gestures control zoom
Click-to-navigate
Click any pin or marker on the map to jump to that photo's or project's details. Maps are not just visual. They are a navigation tool. Use them to find and open specific photos based on where they were taken.
Tips
- Switch to satellite view when documenting outdoor sites. Clients often find aerial context helpful in understanding photo locations.
- Zoom out to verify full-site coverage before generating a report. Gaps in pin distribution may indicate missed areas.
